Boerner Construction has developed a straightforward process that takes the worry and stress out of building or renovating a home. Our simple process provides you the option to be involved as little or as much as you like.
INITIAL MEETING
During your first meeting with BC, we will discuss your design ideas and budget considerations. Bring your idea books, photos and samples and we will collaborate with you on every detail. Whether you are talking about a custom home or renovation, we want your home design and interior design to be reflective of your style.
HOMESITE SELECTION
We can assist you in locating the ideal site for your home based on location, size, price point, school district, etc. When looking at the homesite, we try to optimize views and site lines while preserving trees and green space.
CUSTOM HOME DESIGN
BC has preferred architects that we can recommend to design your home or renovation. We can also collaborate with your own architect as well. Our design process takes our customers from a vision to a fully custom designed set of plans. You will have complete design control, working hand-in-hand with both our architects and interior designers.
If you already have a full set of construction plans drawn up from your own architect, we will be more than happy to provide you with a bid for your project.
DESIGN SELECTIONS
We work to incorporate creative design elements that add personal statements to your new home or renovation. Together we can look for design details that have a story or uniqueness, whether it is an antique sink for your kitchen or reclaimed barn wood from a historic property for your fireplace mantle.
Being mindful of budgets, we also look for value engineering options and/or design alternatives that can save dollars without compromising the overall vision of your home.
Once the plans have been finalized and the design selections have been made, we will sit down with you to review the budget before meeting with your lender to discuss financing. If you don’t have a lender in place, we have several financing resources that can help meet your needs.
PRE-CONSTRUCTION PLAN
BC will draw up your residential construction agreement, which spells out all of your selections, details and timeline of your project. We will provide you with a project manual that outlines your project step-by-step and also serves as a place to keep track of all your design ideas and selections.
CONSTRUCTION
From lot clearing to move-in day, BC strives to make the experience as seamless as humanly possible. We love what we do and we want to share our passion for it through this process. We are highly selective of the trades that work for us and have assembled a team that we would only trust to build our own personal homes. Our team will be in constant communication with you and will be on-site daily supervising the build. We have a cloud based project management software that allows us update and monitor the construction schedule, share photos, blueprints and project notes with our customers in real time making it easier for us to communicate with you without ever leaving the jobsite.
WARRANTY AND SERVICE
Your new BC home comes with a 1 year warranty program. We stand by our work at the end of the day.
